Goat Hill
Goat Hill is a collaboration between Ann Hood, Hester Kaplan, and me. We bring writers, publishers, editors, and agents to Rhode Island to talk about their careers and to cultivate a professional network here. Write Rhode Island!
Write Rhode Island! is a short fiction competition for young people in Rhode Island in grades 7 through 12 (or equivalent). There is no other program of this size and reach that focuses on short fiction in the state. This is such an important way to cultivate storytelling and a passion for writing in young people--and I am so proud to be a founding member of this collaboration between School One, a private arts high school on Providence's East Side, and Goat Hill.
